What are the collars for?
Flanges, depending on the type, are used for tight joining of pipeline elements and other installations. Flanges are divided into several types - i.e. flat, neck and joining. They are usually made of high-quality stainless steel. As we know, stainless steel is much better at dealing with high temperatures and is additionally resistant to corrosion. When choosing a flange, we must pay attention to the diameter of the structure and the grade of steel. Our offer includes steel 1.4307, 1.4404, 1.4541 and 1.4571, depending on the type of flange. Connecting through flanges is a very durable, stable and effective method. Thinking about failure-free installation, flanges should definitely be on one of the first places on our list.
What to look for when choosing flanges.
When selecting flanges for the installation, we must remember about the generated pressure. For example, in low-pressure pipelines, it is worth using flat flanges that facilitate the flow of liquid, while in installations with higher pressure, flanges with grooves are better. An additional seal is also required at the pipe connection point, which we select in terms of the temperatures and pressures achieved.
Finally - why is it worth rethinking connecting pipes with flanges? This method is supported primarily by the above-mentioned failure-free operation, as well as the stability of the installation and the efficiency of this method.
