Stainless Europe is a B2B stainless steel distributor serving manufacturers, fabricators and industrial buyers across the EU. From stock we deliver pipes, seamless fittings, flanges, round bars, sheets and reducers in more than 20 stainless steel grades, including austenitic 1.4301 / 304, 1.4404 / 316L, stabilised 1.4571 / 316Ti, duplex 1.4462, and heat-resistant 1.4828 and 1.4845.

Every batch we dispatch is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate as standard - full chemical and mechanical traceability from melt to delivery. For bars and pipes we offer cut-to-size service - see the lengths available as product variants in the shop. Non-standard cuts are possible after consultation.

Stainless Europe holds the international ISO 9001 quality-management certificate issued by PCC (Polskie Centrum Certyfikacji), a body accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. ISO 9001 is recognised by all signatories of mutual certification agreements worldwide and confirms a quality-management system fully compliant with the requirements of the standard.

Stainless steel - properties and certification

Stainless steel is an iron alloy containing a minimum of 10.5% chromium, which forms a self-healing passive Cr₂O₃ film on the surface - the source of the material's corrosion resistance in chloride, acidic and high-temperature environments. The alloy was developed in parallel in the early 20th century - by Eduard Maurer and Benno Strauss at the Krupp works in Essen (1912) and by Harry Brearley in Sheffield (1913) - and is today specified across virtually every demanding industrial application.

Stainless steel does not require frequent or expensive maintenance. Its high resistance to aggressive environments allows it to be used even in the most demanding conditions, for example in the marine industry. High strength comes with great reliability - in most cases, buying stainless steel components is an investment for many years. Additionally, stainless steel is fully recyclable, since it does not lose its properties when remelted - crucial for the circular economy promoted across Europe.

Thanks to the passive chromium oxide layer, stainless steel does not react with other substances. For this reason it can be safely used in contact with food - under EU Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 and Regulation (EU) 10/2011, stainless steel is the default material for cutlery and kitchen equipment. This is above all due to its non-toxicity and ease of cleaning. Stainless steel parts can be cleaned with most commonly available detergents, without concern that the steel surfaces will lose their properties or change their appearance.

    Stainless steel - applications

Stainless steel is used in virtually every area of the economy. In recent years a clear surge in the material's popularity has been seen in the construction market - used in the production of railings, balustrades and elements of urban street furniture (for example bicycle racks), preferred by architects and firms designing public-use buildings for the ease of disinfection and cleanliness it offers. In construction it is also excellent for water and gas installations. Furthermore, stainless steel finds wide use in the food and beverage industry - installations in food-processing plants, dairies and bottling facilities for non-alcoholic beverages, as well as tankers for brine transport. Domestic kitchen equipment - pots, cutlery and bowls - and housings for home appliances also rely on stainless steel.

Stainless steel finds equally wide use in many other branches of the economy. It is used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive and energy industries - as well as in offshore and marine structures, hydrogen and renewable-energy infrastructure, pulp and paper, semiconductor fabs and cleanroom construction. As one of the most recycled industrial materials in Europe (>85% scrap input in new heats), stainless steel is fully aligned with EU Circular Economy Action Plan targets - request a quote on a specific grade, dimension or batch certificate via our technical desk.
