Seamless Stainless Steel Reducers
Reducers join two pipe sections of different nominal sizes. They are manufactured as seamless fittings to EN 10253-4 and are butt-welded to pipe of the matching diameter and wall thickness.
Concentric or Eccentric?
A concentric reducer has both ends on a common centerline – it is suited to vertical lines and anywhere a change in centerline elevation is not a problem. An eccentric reducer has one flat side; it is used in horizontal lines to prevent air or condensate from collecting, typically on pump suction lines.
Grades and Documentation
We offer grades 1.4301 (AISI 304), 1.4401 (AISI 316), 1.4541 (AISI 321) and 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti). An EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate can be ordered with your purchase.
Types of Reducers
Reducers are grouped by axis alignment, which determines where they are used in a pipeline.
- Concentric reducers – with a common axis, for vertical runs and standard diameter changes
- Eccentric reducers (asymmetrical) – with an offset axis, for horizontal runs and pump suction without air pockets
