Description
Stainless round bar with a diameter of 40 mm and a length of 140 cm, produced from steel grade 1.4571 / 316Ti by cold drawing. Theoretical weight of the section: 13.8 kg.
Grade 1.4571 / 316Ti is a titanium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel with very good corrosion resistance and wide industrial application. Compared to standard chromium-nickel grades, this material performs well in more demanding environments. Steel 1.4571 is used in the chemical, energy and food industries and in the production of technical apparatus and installations.
Cold-drawn bars are produced by drawing steel through a die at ambient temperature. This results in higher dimensional accuracy, a smoother surface finish and improved mechanical properties compared to hot-rolled bars.
