1.4571 elbows – 316 corrosion resistance plus titanium stabilization
1.4571 (AISI 316Ti), X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2, contains 2–2.5% molybdenum, which protects against pitting in chlorides and many acids, and titanium, which ties up carbon and protects welds against intergranular corrosion. As a result, the grade performs well at elevated temperatures and in heavier welded sections that are not annealed. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, 1.4571 is the classic “V4A” steel for chemical process equipment, district heating, wastewater treatment plants and the paper industry.

Sizes in stock
We stock 71 90° elbows: mostly long radius (1.5D), plus a few short-radius (1D) elbows for tight spaces. Outside diameters range from 21.3 to 323.9 mm (DN15–DN300), walls from 2 to 9.53 mm. Match each elbow to pipe with the same OD and wall so the butt-weld ends line up. Center-to-face dimensions for every size are listed in the seamless elbow dimensions table.
316Ti or 316L?
At ambient temperature, both grades offer similar corrosion resistance. 316Ti is chosen for long service at higher temperatures, for welding heavy walls and when the design documents – often prepared to DIN standards – call for it. For electropolished systems, 316L is the better choice. 316Ti elbows are TIG-welded, usually with type 318 filler (niobium-stabilized 316) or 316L.
316Ti pipe and flanges
In the same grade we offer 316Ti / 1.4571 pipe & tube and 316Ti / 1.4571 flanges. 316L / 1.4404 elbows come in a wider range of wall thicknesses. Other grades are in the Seamless Elbows category.
