Description

Stainless round bar with a diameter of 12 mm and a length of 160 cm, produced from steel grade 1.4462/UNS31803 by cold drawing. Theoretical weight of the section: 1.4 kg.

Grade 1.4462 / S31803 is a duplex stainless steel combining high mechanical strength with very good corrosion resistance. Compared to standard austenitic steels, this grade offers higher strength and better resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The material is used in demanding industrial applications, including the chemical, energy, marine and offshore industries, as well as in installations working in more challenging environmental conditions.

Cold-drawn bars are produced by drawing steel through a die at ambient temperature. This results in higher dimensional accuracy, a smoother surface finish and improved mechanical properties compared to hot-rolled bars.
