Description

Stainless round bar with a diameter of 16 mm and a length of 130 cm, produced from steel grade 1.4541 / 321 by cold drawing. Theoretical weight of the section: 2.1 kg.

Grade 1.4541 / 321 is a titanium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel. This grade is characterised by good corrosion resistance and is often chosen for applications where resistance to elevated temperatures and good structural stability of the material are important. Steel 1.4541 is used in the mechanical engineering, energy, chemical industries and in components of installations working under more demanding thermal conditions.

Cold-drawn bars are produced by drawing steel through a die at ambient temperature. This results in higher dimensional accuracy, a smoother surface finish and improved mechanical properties compared to hot-rolled bars.
